A Kids Cooking Class
This is a three session adventure in hands-on cooking.  Not only will participants learn how to make a delicious Italian meal, they will also learn about reading a recipe, measuring, food safety skills, food science, improvisation in making a recipe and cleaning up properly.  They will gain some inspiration and confidence in the kitchen and use tools and equipment that will help them be successful in doing their recipes.  At the end of the third session they will eat the delicious meal they all participated in making.  A small snack will be provided during the first two sessions.  (An adult  is welcome to stay and observe the class or drop off their child.)
 
FIRST SESSION:  knead a few simple ingredients together+roll out the dough+get messy with flour+cut sheets of dough into strips=homemade fresh noodles
 
SECOND SESSION:  make a delicious tomato sauce and meatballs (guess what the secret ingredients are!)
 
THIRD SESSION:  improvise with your own Italian salad dressing and make pizzelles (translation: round and flat), which are traditional Italian waffle-type cookies.  Now celebrate all your hard work and newly gained knowledge by eating your food creations!
 
COST:   $90 for all three sessions (each session is 2 hours long).  This includes instruction, materials, snacks and a recipe booklet.  Siblings receive 10% off.  Space is limited.  Class will be confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
